Sprint has just announced the release day of the second WebOS device, the Pixi.
With the Pixi at $99 and the Pre only $50 more, will they cannibalize each other’s sales? That’s without taking into account the HTC Hero or Samsung Moment, both in the same price range.
All I know is, I think I’m giving my Sero up in December…

Keep in mind the laws of phone marketing: The price at launch is usually higher than the price a few months down the road. That’s why you can get a better deal on a slightly older phone with more features than a new launched one with less.
The Pre was $199 at launch, and only dropped to the current prices after initial enthusiasm plateaued.
At $99 for a release price, the Pixi is hitting the market at HALF of what the Pre was, and will most likely drop to $75 within a couple of months…
