A very cool but also very possibly scary stalker like mobile service has just been made available by a property value search engine called HouseFront. Essentially, their on the go version of the service, powered by Mobile Accord, is a free service that allows people to text an address to the short code HOUSE (46873) and receive public record info on the house instantly such as value, price, sq ft, bed, bath, and purchase price and even the owners name.
If you are already logged into the HouseFront service online then it stores everything on your account so that you can go online and view mobile searches later.
I tried it on my parents home where I grew up, try it on yours… or your neighbors.. come on, you know you want to know how much they paid for their house.
Yet another example of mobile technology being used in an interesting niche and ubiquitous way.

Hmm… i gave this a try, but i am pretty sure the date of when my childhood house was built was incorrect.

Yeah, I did this on my ex-boyfriends house. I found out that the house is worth about $150k, but he bought it three years ago for $175k. Sorry sack is going to lose a bunch of money if he ever gets the thing sold.
Nice find!
